Day 122- Leaving Portland, Grateful

Portland International Airport- PDX

Day 122 of my 365 Day Photo Journey concludes our excursion to Portland and the World Domination Summit and wraps up my recent travels to the Pacific Northwest for the time being. The photos above and below come courtesy of PDX Airport and my view from an Alaska Airlines connecting flight to Seattle. Fortunately, I know I’ll be back sooner than later — at the VERY latest for WDS 2012 which was announced while we were there! So for my San Diego readers, that’ll mean a return for the short term of SoCal entries and photos to this blog.

But regardless of where you live, I can’t stress enough how important and potentially game-changing this trip was for me, despite my nasty (and now nearly week-long illness, which is finally abating!). I don’t profess to be a great writer — this site exists to showcase other media with the writing as simply a tool to explain my thought process for a photo or to give it background or context. But since I’ve had a number of people ask just WHAT the heck this World Domination conference we went to was, I’ll leave it to a few posts written by my fellow attendees below to better explain if you’re curious. For me, I’m still digesting and brainstorming, while most importantly trying to take action. The future I plan to create looks like the photo below…

Thank you SO MUCH for including me in your blog recap – I feel honored! And the pictures of leaving the airport and getting on the plane – it’s like leaving summer camp just when it was starting to feel like home. So hard!

Thank YOU Sarah for your awesome recap and notes. Your description of re-entering the “real world”, post-WDS, is exactly how I still feel three days later! I want to put the firefly in a jar and hope its light never dims. It seems as if we’re all part of a little club now, so to speak, and what we do with that membership going forward is going to be the key for each of us. Good luck with your journey…
